Thalessaboran and Bendhermong Sign Peace Treaty, Defensive Pact

The nations of Thalessaboran and Bendhermong have agreed to the following terms of peace:
- Bendhermong will retreat from all occupied territory.
- Bendhermong will pay $7.5 million in reparations for land occupied and taken out of production.
- Calia will end the war.
- Thalessaboran and Bendhermong will defend each other in the case of an aggressive attack on the continent.  Thalessaboran will also provide aid if Eretz' islands are invaded if the inhabitants support Bendhermong's defense.
- Bendhermong is not committed to the defense of Thalessaboran's colony.
- Thalessaboran and Bendhermong will not attack each other.
- This treaty will last 100 years.

Bendhermong is Prepared to Fight

"Bendhermong is prepared to fight if Calia and Thalessaboran do not offer a plausible and satisfactory solution to the argument between our nations," said the Joint Chief of Staff at a press meeting today.  "No blood has been shed as of yet, but we simply cannot tolerate unsatisfactory offers, and ministers that balk at finding proper terms."

Bendhermong Agrees to Cease-Fire Extension

Bendhermong agreed to an additional month's duration of cease-fire in order for all sides to have more time to work out a deal.

In response to the increasingly dangerous world situation, the Zangoran government adjudiciates mobilization to be a non-optional decision.

Calia Issues General Mobilization

Calia has issued a mobilization of all demobilized forces as a result of their war that is scheduled to restart next month.  Calian government officials who prefer to remain anonymous have mentioned Thalessaboran financial assistance to help with mobilization.

Cease-Fire Issued

Thalessaboran, Bendhermong, and Calia have agreed to a cease-fire due to ongoing peace negotiations.  The negotiations have stalemated, but both sides have agreed to additional time to consider terms.

Calia Declares War on Bendhermong!

"In response to Calia's blatant declaration of war, after their history of belligerence, we consider it most incongruous, disrespectful, and quite uncalled for.  Bendhermong will not accept this," said the Bendhermongese Joint Chief of Staff.

Thalessaboran Leaders Respond to Bendhermongese Report

We have been wrongfully attacked by Bendhermong, and now Bendhermongese leaders are trying to blame us for being attacked.  Our military buildup was not aggressive; it was merely to have some defensive force.  Since all other nations - including Bendhermong - have larger armies than ours, we felt that some buildup was justified.  Bendhermong's recent invasion has proved this necessity and shown that we cannot trust our neighbors' good intentions.

If Bendhermong has specific grievances they would like us to redress, they could have given us some workable deal.  We are still willing to talk as long as they are reasonable in their requests.

Chief of Staff of Bendhermong Makes a Statement

"We did not hastily declare war against our neighbor, Thalessaboran.  However, after meeting with many within Thalessaboran's government, both in their industrial and military sector and with the head of state, we have concluded that the military buildup of Thalessaboran seeing that they have no enemy to fear was just cause for invasion.  Their only possible target, despite their claims, is Bendhermong. We deem it in the national security of Bendhermong to remove this potent threat from our midst.  It is true that war was once rumored months prior, but this subsided as Bendhermong became assured of Thalessaboran's peaceful intent. Now that Thalessaboran's intentions are to challenge us, we took the best step for eventual peace in the region."

Thalessaboran Issues Military Draft, Declares War on Bendhermong

In response to Bendhermong's invasion of Thalessaboran, Thalessaboran has declared war on Bendhermong and issued a military draft.

Imaran Ambassador Insults Bendhermong

The ambassador of Imara has severely insulted the ambassador of Bendhermong calling him an "escaped mental patient."

Also, Thalessaboran's new government has offered belligerent defiance to the request for assurances that they will not take aggressive action against Bendhermong with their new military buildup.

Thalessaboran Announces Discovery of Ammonium Nitrate; Institutes Use for Agriculture

Thalessaboran farmers have benefited from discovery of fertilizer.  Yield improves 25%.  Food surplus very large.

Quatron Ultimatum to Imara

December 1913 - The Quatron government sent an ultimatum to the Imaran government. Sources within the Quatron government have confirmed that this ultimatum was rejected. The Imaran government has denied the existence of spies in the capital. Both Imaran agents are being interrogated, and have been formally charged with espionage. 

Thalessaboran Begins Military Buildup

At the request of Thalessaboran generals, Konrad Trotski has authorized the buildup of Thalessaboran's military.  Trotski has said that he does not intend to use his military except for defensive purposes, but that his military had been weakened by years of non-militaristic government.

Imaran spy executed in Vrymnul Capitol!

An Imaran spy attempting a simultaneous espionage and assassination attempt on the Philosopher King has been executed in the Vrym square today. "Justice is swift" said the Justice Department, in regards to the speedy dealings with the spy. Vrymnul seeks no further actions against Imara.

In other news, Imaran spies have been caught on two separate occasions in Quatron. Interesting.

Chief of Bendhermongese Intelligence

The BIA, Bendhermong Intelligence Agency has apprehended an Imaran spy attempting to collect sensitive information in the capital of Bendhermong.  "This is a grave offense."

"Considering that we hear an Imaran spy was apprehended in Quatron, we consider this as likely that Imara is belligerent to these nations."

Revolution in Thalessaboran

Thalessaboran farmers have revolted against their do-nothing government.  A new leader, Konrad Trotski, has come to power after encountering no resistance from the former government.  He has announced a program of rapid industrialization, which he claims will increase demand for food.

Morale returns to its original level (70% approval rating).

Vrymnul 3 Day Holiday declared!

In honor of the new city of Andrepolis, three days of celebration have been declared across the nation! Food and festivities shall take place in all cities, and ceremonies in the capital Vyrm will be overseen by the Philosopher King himself. Huzzah!
